Outlaws Bested by Renegades

NRFC 7 - Atlanta Renegades 38
Saturday, Jan. 23 ~ Vanderbilt Rec Fields

Nashville
headed into the second D-1 Matrix of the season with their new squad fielding only 6 players from last years roster. The first half was hard fought defensively by Nashville as the Renegades took advantage of the majority of possession and scored 3 tries ending the half 19-0.

The Renegades opened the second half with an early try before Nashville started to come alive and apply pressure and being rewarded with a try from Luke Woods from a quick tap penalty. The conversion was made by Franklin Pargh. Nashville continued to apply pressure and pinned the Renegades in their half for approx 20 mins before they cleared their lines with a long kick that was retrieved and scored by their winger.
Atlanta went on to score one last try to make the final score 38-7.

The J Alexander’s Player of the Match was Jonathon Toombs for his good defensive pressure and strong runs.

There was definite improvement from the first game against LIFE, defensive structure and tackling improved and when we picked up the game speed and applied pressure we them on the back foot.
We have plenty to work on and improve on so all be at practice on Tues.
